JAKOBSSON, ANDERS

Anders Jakobsson (bass) trained at the Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen and the Opera Academy and has been engaged at the Royal Theatre since 1979. Among important roles over the years he has sung Figaro in The Marriage of Figaro, Masetto and the Commandant in Don Giovanni; Verdi roles such as Monterone and Sparafucile in Rigoletto, the Grand Inquisitor in Don Carlos, Count Clas Horn in A Masked Ball, Wagner roles such as Klingsor in Parsifal, King Heinrich in Lohengrin, Saul in Carl Nielsen’s Saul and David and Jeronimus in Nielsen’s Masquerade.
