NIKOLOVA, ANDREANA

The mezzo-soprano Andreana Nikolova graduated in 1997 from the College of Arts in Rousse in the vocal class of Georgi Deliganev. In the same year she attended the master-classes of Pavel Gerdjikov and Norman Schetler. In 2002 she received her master's degree in opera singing from the State Academy of Music in Sofia. Andreana Nikolova has performed in different theatres in Bulgaria, Germany, Austria, Switzerland and the United States. She has won numerous competition awards, including second prize in the Svetoslav Obretenov National Competition in Provadiya, first prize in the Parashkev Hadzhiev Academic Vocal Competition in Sofia, first prize in the Puldin International Opera Competition in Plovdiv, first prize in the Austrian Ferruccio Tagliavini International Vocal Competition and the Critics Award, with further awards in the Padua Irris-Adami Corradetti International Vocal Competition, the Boris Christoff International Opera Competition in Sofia, and the Audience Award of the Sofia National Opera.
