GNANN, GERHARD

Gerhard Gnann was born in Germany in 1962, his mature education taking him to study organ at the Sweelinck Conservatory in Amsterdam, where his mentors were Ton Koopman and Ewald Kooiman. He won many international organ competitions including the 1988 Bach Competition in Flanders. In 1994 he was appointed cantor of Freiburg, and in 1997 professor at the University in Mainz.
