GERARD, GUY (b 1937 )Guy Gérard
Born in 1937, Guy Gérard studied at the Conservatoires of
Mons, Liège and Brussels, where he passed the degrees required with
distinction. After several years at the Musique Royale des Guides, he joined
the Belgian National Orchestra as solo clarinet and bass clarinet. He has
played under the direction of great conductors and has been on many tours
abroad with the Belgian Wind Quintet. He has on several occasions appeared as a
soloist, and has also taught at the Académie de Musique de Woluwé Saint Lambert.
