ELBERT, HARTMUT (b 1960 )

Hartmut Elbert, bass

Hartmut Elbert was born in Wiesbaden in 1960 and studied at the Richard Strauss Conservatory in Munich, active in the recording studio and opera-house even as a student. In 1989 he was awarded the Premio Florestan in Venice. He has performed widely at home and abroad, particular in oratorio and in Lieder recitals which have taken him as far afield as the United States of America, Canada and Australia.
