FOUCHECOURT, JEAN-PAUL The tenor Jean-Paul Fouchécourt has gained an international reputation with his portrayal of the title rôle in Rameau’s Platée, Arnalta in L’incoronazione di Poppea, the four servants in Les contes d’Hoffman and le Mari in Poulenc’s Les mamelles de Tirésias with the Metropolitan Opera, Covent Garden, New York City Opera, the Edinburgh Festival and the Santa Fe Opera, among others.
He is one of today’s main exponents of the French Baroque repertoire, collaborating with such conductors as William Christie, Marc Minkowski, René Jacobs and Christophe

BBC Proms in London, and has made more than eighty recordings for which he has received numerous awards and extraordinary praise.
