BANKS, KEVIN Kevin Banks was appointed principal clarinet of the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra in 1988, following eight years as principal clarinet with Opera North. He studied at Trinity College of Music, before gaining a scholarship to study with John McCaw at the Royal College of Music. As a soloist with the Northern Sinfonia and Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, Kevin Banks has performed the concertos of Mozart, Finzi, Copland, Nielsen and Weber. tHE Nielsen Concerto is his concerto debut on disc.
