GAGLIARDO, MASSIMILIANO
Massimiliano Gagliardo
The young Ligurian baritone Massimiliano Gagliardo made his
debut in Split as Enrico in Lucia di Lammermoor, and has since undertaken
a wide range of baritone operatic repertoire, including Dandini in La Cenerentola,
Belfiore in Verdi's Finto Stanislao, Leporello, Sharpless, Escamillo,
Figaro in Il barbiere di Siviglia and Falstaff in Verdi's opera, among
many other roles, including contemporary works. He has collaborated with leading
conductors and stage directors, and appeared in major opera-houses throughout
Europe, from La Scala to the Theatre des Champs-Elysees, in Japan, and in festivals,
including Wexford and the Rossini Festival in Pesaro. Concert engagements have
taken him to the Vienna Konzerthaus and the Amsterdam Concertgebouw.
