AMBROSE KING, NANCY

Nancy Ambrose King took first prize in the Third New York International Competition for Solo Oboists. She has appeared as a soloist throughout the world, appearing with the St Petersburg Philharmonic, the Janáček Philharmonic, Internacional de Música of Buenos Aires, New York String Orchestra, and Sinfonia da Camera. She was a finalist in the Gillet Competition held in Graz, Austria, and has taught and performed in the Sarasota, Idyllwild, Marrowston, Bowdoin and Hot Springs Music Festivals. She is Professor of Oboe at the University of Michigan and President of the International Double Reed Society.
