STEIDL, PAVEL

Born in a small town near Prague, Pavel Steidl first studied music at the Prague Conservatire, before becoming a student of the great Stepan Rak. He is particularly noted for his performances on period instruments, and enjoys a busy career as soloist and teacher. Steidl is also a distinguished composer for the instrument, and among his previous recordings is the critically acclaimed programme of music by Legnani, recorded for the Naxos label.
