KAHKONEN, PEKKA

Pekka Kähkönen, baritone, studied at the Kuopio conservatory, the Sibelius Academy and in Berlin. He gained his singing diploma in 1987 and made his début in 1991. He has appeared as a soloist at the Savonlinna Opera Festival, with the Vantaa Opera (of which he is artistic director) and in Tallinn, Estonia. He is also in demand as an oratorio soloist.
