VAZQUEZ, SILVIA

Born in Puerto de Sagunto (Valencia), Silvia Vázquez has collaborated with distinguished conductors, including Lorin Maazel, Zubin Mehta, Carlo Rizzi, Octavio Dantone and Patrick Fournillier, and with stage directors including Gian Carlo del Monaco, Emilio Sagi, Luis Olmos and La Fura dels Baus. She has sung at the Valencia Palau de les Arts, the Florence Teatro Comunale, the Maestranza in Seville, the Berlin Konzerthaus, the Wexford Opera Festival, the Vienna Chamber Opera, the Madrid Teatro de la Zarzuela, the Málaga Teatro Cervantes and the Teatro Campoamor in Oviedo. She has undertaken rôles in a wide range of operas from L’arbore de Diana to Carmen and Götterdämmerung. Her recordings include María del Carmen by Granados and the DVD of Sorozabal’s Manojo de Rosas, as well as participation in the 150th Anniversary of the Teatro de la Zarzuela.
