LANGE, SUSANNE Susanne Lange studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Music and at the Opera Academy of the Royal Danish Opera. Since her debut in 1978 she has appeared as a soloist with Danish orchestras and has had engagements at the Royal Danish Opera, Danish National Opera, and L'Opera de Nice. In addition she has sung on Danish radio and television and given countless recitals and church concerts not only in Denmark but also in Paris, Brussels, Nice, and New York. Susanne Lange has recorded Schierbeck's orchestral songs and the complete lieder of Schoenberg on CD. In 1989 she received the Danish Music Critics' Prize. Thybo's Sonnengesang is dedicated to Susanne Lange, who gave the first performance in 1992.
