MITEVA, TEODORA

The cellist Teodora Miteva was born in Bulgaria and began her study of the violin at the age of four with her mother. She later studied at the Vienna Music University with Valentin Erben of the Alban Berg Quartet, being awarded her diploma magna cum laude. She participated in master-classes with Svetoslav Popow, Tobias Kühne, Harvey Shapiro, Arto Noras, Miklos Pereny, David Geringas and Mstislav Rostropovich. She has appeared as a soloist in Bulgaria and in the Vienna Festival Weeks, in Hong Kong and in the Aaron Copland Festival, among other engagements. She has also appeared in Greece, Austria, Switzerland and Spain. She has been successful in various competitions and has held Alban Berg and Herbert von Karajan Centrum scholarships.
