COVES, VICENTE (b 1982 )

A pupil of the legendary Pepe Romero, Vicente Coves was born in Jaén in 1982 and is among the leading young Spanish guitarists. He has appeared with artists including Horacio Ferrer, Enrique Morente and Pepe Romero, with concerts in Chile, Mexico, Uruguay, Paraguay, China and Japan. His engagements have included appearances at the Sala Sinfónica of the Madrid National Auditorium, the Cervantes Festival in Mexico and Cumbres Iberoamicanas in Uruguay. He has recorded for a number of international companies, with performances for radio and television, and gives regular master-classes at the Andalusia International University.
