Strauss and Lehár composed some of the greatest waltzes, but they were by no means alone. Of course, their achievements rank beside some of Tchaikovsky’s offerings – but what of the magnificent works of Juventino Rosas or Iosif Ivanovici? There definitely is some great, albeit lesser-known, music to be discovered on this disc!
