ALTENSTEIG ROSSINI CHOIR

The Altensteig Rossini Chorus is an ensemble of the Altensteig Music Academy established specially for Rossini in Wildbad in 2005. The Academy has as its aim the training of singers, choral conductors and vocal trainers. The choirs involved in this project work with young, highly motivated singers, who gain experience as soloists, with, for example, the Unter den Linden Deutsche Staatsoper, the Teatro Real, Madrid, and the Teatro São Carlos in Lisbon, and as members of ensembles such as the Aurelius Boys’ Choir Calw, the Baden-Württemberg Youth Chamber, the Ludwigsburg Festival Ensemble or the Altensteig Chamber Choir. The artistic direction is in the hands of Hans-Jörg Kalmbach and Matthias Wurstet, both senior lecturers at Altensteig.
