HUNGARIAN RADIO CHILDREN'S CHOIR The Hungarian Radio Children’s Choir was formed in 1954. Since 1995 Gabriella Thész has been the artistic director of the ensemble, and in 1997 the choir was joined by the conductor László Norbert Nemes. Performances have included a world première of Stockhausen’s Montag aus Licht at La Scala, Milan, in 1988 and appearances at the Geneva Contemporary Festival, Wien Modern, Salzburg, Milano Musica, the Accademia di Santa Cecilia in Rome under Myung-Whun Chung, and festivals in Linz, Ravenna and Schleswig-Holstein. The choir was awarded the Bartók-Pásztory Prize in 2005.
