LEIPZIG MDR RADIO CHOIR The largest professional concert choir within the Association of Public Broadcasting Stations in Germany (ARD) and within Germany, the Radio Choir of the Mitteldeutscher Rundfunk was established in 1946 and developed under the guidance of Herbert Kegel to become one of the leading choirs of Europe. Howard Arman took over the direction and artistic direction of the choir in 1998, and it continues with a busy schedule of touring and recordings, with regular concerts in Leipzig with the Gewandhaus Orchestra.
