SAN DIEGO MASTER CHORALE The San Diego Master Chorale is made up of 130 of San Diego's finest singers. It is the principal choral arts organization in the San Diego area. Founded in 1961 as the San Diego Symphony Chorale, the group became the San Diego Master Chorale in 1979 and bas since presented its own concert season while maintaining a rich collaboration with the San Diego Symphony Orchestra. Frank Almond, Music Director for the San Diego Master Chorale for ten years is also Professor of Music and Director of Choral Activities at San Diego State University, where he has taught for 24 years.
