INSETTA, PAUL  



Born on the Lower East Side of New York city on 16 November 1915, Paul Insetta was a popular songwriter, most active from the late 1940s to the 1960s. His songs have been recorded by Vic Damone, Billy Eckstine, Dinah Shore, Jerry Vale, Don Cornell, Ray Anthony, Al Martino, Claude Thornhill and Joni James. Later in his career, he became a personal manager to various artists, including Jerry Vale, Guy Mithchell and Alan Dale. Paul Insetta was a member of ASCAP and the Songwriters Guild. He died in Brooklyn, New York, on 28 October 1979.

The photograph, kindly provided by Hazel Jopling, was taken in New York city during the late 1940s, when Paul Insetta was performing his songs on local New York radio stations. The photographer is unknown.
