NAZARETH, ERNESTO  BIOGRAPHY

(1863 - 1934)

The Brazilian composer and pianist Ernesto Nazareth enjoyed particular esteem as a composer and performer of popular music, famous for his interpretations of the tango. He exercised a strong influence over the lighter music of his country, winning the praise of such contemporaries as Villa-Lobos.
