CASADESUS, HENRI (1879 - 1947)
Member of a distinguished French family of musicians, Henri Casadesus was a
composer and viol-player, with expertise also on the viola damore, and something
of a pioneer in the study and collection of earlier instruments. He seems to
have collaborated with other members of his family in the concoction of works
attributed generally to marginally lesser known 18th century composers, as Kreisler
did. His Viola Concerto attributed to Handel is now billed as in the
style of Handel.
