JORGENSEN, KLAUS IB  BIOGRAPHY

(b 1967 )

In 1986, after taking his university entrance exam, Klaus Ib Jørgensen began studying composition and music theory with the composer Niels Rosing-Schow. From 1989 he studied at the Royal Academy of Music in Copenhagen, where he took his music teaching diploma in the summer of 1993, majoring in composition with Associate Professor Niels Rosing-Schow and music theory with Professor Yngve Trede. Klaus Ib Jørgensen studied with Erik Norby and Niels Rosing-Schow. He is a co-founder and artistic director of the Athelas Sinfonietta Copenhagen, the ensemble Figura, and since 1993 has been director of the Society for the Publication of Danish Music.
