PADE, STEEN  BIOGRAPHY

The Danish composer Steen Pade was a pupil of Nørholm and then of Nørgård and Rasmussen. His career has brought important positions as a conductor and festival director, and as principal of the Royal Danish Conservatory. His compositions include a piano concerto and two symphonies, in addition to Spindelvaev (The Spider's Web) for solo accordion and orchestra, chamber music, songs and music for piano and for organ.
