RASMUSSEN, SUNLEIF  BIOGRAPHY

(b 1961 )

Færoese in origin, Sunleif Rasmussen studied in Norway, before returning to Tórshavn to teach music and work as a jazz pianist. He later studied with Bent Sørensen in Denmark, graduating in composition at the Royal Danish Academy of Music, after study with Nørholm and Ivan Frounberg, developing his interests in electronic music. He has made his career in Denmark, while drawing inspiration still from his native region.
