MANN, PAUL

Paul Mann has made a name as one of the most talented of the younger British conductors. He trained in England as a pianist and conductor, and in 1998 he won the Donatella Flick Conducting Competition. The prize opened doors for him in earnest with the great orchestras in England, the USA, Europe, Japan, Australia and South America.

In 2005 he joined the Odense Symphony Orchestra as Chief Conductor, and besides this he engages in extensive conducting activities with the London Symphony Orchestra, the Halle Orchestra, the Royal Philharmonic, Orchestra Internazionale d’Italia, the New Japan Philharmonic, the Norwegian Opera, the Norwegian Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Fresno Philharmonic, the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra and others. He also appears frequently as a guest conductor with the New York City Ballet. He has recorded with the English Chamber Orchestra and the London Symphony Orchestra for Decca and Warner Classics.
