CAMPANELLA TRIO

Trio Campanella was established in 1997 by guitarists Christophe Dejour, Frank Massa and Thomas Winthereik, to celebrate their shared passion for Spanish music. The Trio’s performances of Mr. Dejour's pioneering arrangements have made it possible to hear performed on guitar the greatest compositions of Isaac Albéniz and Enrique Granados in their entirety. Trio Campanella’s technical ability and unique repertoire have consistently delighted their audiences and the Trio’s exceptional 2003 recording of Albéniz’ masterwork, Iberia (Naxos, 8.557064), was met with international praise. The recording of Granados’s Goyescas now makes it possible to experience the two most central works of the Spanish national romantic period within the sound universe of the guitar. Trio Campanella is indebted to Viggo Mangor for his warm and constant support, and to José Ribera for sharing his unique insight into the music of Granados.
