ENGLISH PIANO TRIO Formed in 1987, the English Piano Trio quickly established a reputation as one of the outstanding British chamber ensembles. Though they have specialised in the18th and 19th century repertoires, including recordings of Haydn and Beethoven Piano Trios, they have also given many UK first performances, and have commissioned works from many of the outstanding younger generation of British composers. In 1994 they were appointed 'Trio in Residence' at King's College, University of London. This disc marks their debut on Naxos.
