SCHIRMER ENSEMBLE

The Schirmer Ensemble is a new group formed in 1997. It's objective is to promote the publications of the music publishers, G. Schirmer (Australia), a name better know as the founder of the nineteenth-century American publishing house. It is conducted by Brett Kelly, leading trombone of the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra. He studied conducting with Robert Rosen, and spent a year in Europe continuing the academic side of his life. Since returning to Australia he has conducted a number of orchestras there.
