Celebrate the art of Jenő Jandó, one of the most prolific artists in the history of classical music recording.
Jandó’s professional career took off when he took third prize at the Beethoven Piano Competition at the age of 18. He then won the 1973 Hungarian Piano Concours and the chamber music category at the Sydney International Piano Competition in 1977. Having made top-quality recordings of all of Mozart's piano sonatas and piano concertos, every Beethoven sonata, every Haydn sonata, both volumes of Bach's Well-Tempered Clavier, Bartók's complete piano concertos, among other major cycles, Jandó shows no sign of slowing down. Check out his latest release on Naxos, 8.570290 Brahms: Waltzes, Op. 39 and Rhapsodies, Op. 79.
Enjoy the albums below, ranging from solo, chamber to orchestral projects, selected from Jandó’s vast catalogue of recordings for Naxos.

“Jandó is… extremely versatile… convincingly playing works by fellow Hungarians Liszt and Bartók, by Beethoven and Schubert, and by many others. In sum, his repertory is comprised of a vast number of works by a variety of composers from varying periods, but a variety he has demonstrated considerable knowledge of and sensitivity toward."
