In commemoration of the 200th anniversary of the death of Joseph Haydn, the Vienna Philharmonic has published under its own auspices a special edition of selected symphonies which includes outstanding interpretations conducted by Pierre Boulez, Christoph von Dohnányi, Nikolaus Harnoncourt, Zubin Mehta and Franz Welser-Möst. Other recordings of this great orchestra will be issued on the Vienna Philharmonic label.
