From 30 July to 1 August, the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra, under the baton of young Finnish conductor and Music-Director-designate Pietari Inkinen, recorded an all-Sibelius programme for Naxos. It promises to be a notable Sibelius release.

Recorded were Night Ride and Sunrise, Op. 55; Kuolema "Death", Incidental music, Op. 44 and 62; Pan and Echo, Op. 53; The Dryade, Op. 45/1; Belshazzar's Feast Suite Op. 51. The sessions took place at the Michael Fowler Centre in Wellington, New Zealand and were produced and engineered by Wayne Laird.
