Mark Obert-Thorn receives Certificate of Special Merit October 5, 2008
The annual panel of the German Record Critics’ Award has decided to present to Mark Obert-Thorn the Certificate of Special Merit (Ehrenurkunde der deutschen Schallplattenkritik) for lifelong achievements in the field of restoration of sound recordings. This prestigious prize was announced on 4 October 2008.
Mr Obert-Thorn writes: “Certainly a large part of the ‘lifetime achievement’ has been due to the opportunities which Naxos Historical recordings have given to my work over the past decade, for which I am very grateful.”
