In previous years, America conductor Marin Alsop was named Gramophone Artist of the Year 2003. Her Naxos recording of Dvořák’s Symphonies Nos. 7 and 8 with the Baltimore Symphony (8.572112) was released in May 2010. A special 6-CD boxed set of her Naxos recordings of Samuel Barber’s Complete Orchestral Works with the Royal Scottish National Orchestra (8.506021) is being internationally released in September 2010:
