JoAnn Falletta talks to Gramophone about her new Holst recording for Naxos August 1, 2012
Naxos recently released Gustav Holst’s Cotswolds Symphony, which was JoAnn Falletta’s first recording with the Ulster Orchestra after being appointed principal conductor in May 2011. Says Gramophone magazine critic Jeremy Dibble on the performance “…it is good to hear these works played with such panache by the Ulster Orchestra under their new principal conductor, JoAnn Falletta, who gives the Cotswolds Symphony a more vigorous outing than does Douglas Bostock with the Munich SO”.
