Johann Strauss I Edition expands with new volume

March 28, 2007

The eleventh volume in Naxos’s Johann Strauss I Edition was recorded between 12 and 14 March at the Concert Hall Fatra, Žilina, Slovakia. Christian Pollack conducted the Slovak Sinfonietta Žilina. Sessions were produced by Karol Kopernicky and engineered by Otto Nopp.

The works recorded are Eisenbahn-Lust, Walzer, Op. 89; Brüssler Spitzen, Walzer, Op. 95; Ball-Raketen, Walzer, Op. 96; Pilger am Rhein, Walzer, Op. 98; Bankett-Tänze, Walzer, Op. 99; Paris, Walzer, Op. 101; Huldigung der Königin Victoria von Grossbritannien, Op. 103; Freudengrüsse, Walzer, Op. 105; Exotische Pflanzen, Op. 109.
