Brahms and Schumann violin concertos recorded by Ilya Kaler July 2, 2007
From June 12 to13, Ilya Kaler recorded the Brahms and Schumann violin concertos with the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra. The conductor was Pietari Inkinen, the new Music Director of the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra, and an international concert violinist in his own right.
Russian violinist Ilya Kaler has appeared on many Naxos recordings. His CD with Szymanowski's Violin Concerto (8.557981) was Gramophone Editor's Choice. Sessions took place at Lighthouse, Poole, England, and were produced and engineered, in surround sound, by Tim Handley. |
