Charles de Beriot’s Duos for Two Violins Recorded

July 6, 2007

A new volume in the Naxos series dedicated to 19th Century Virtuosic Violin Music was recorded in Toronto last month. This new series introduces music lovers to forgotten and seldom performed music composed exclusively by 19th century virtuoso violinists.

Christine Sohn and John Marcus recorded duos for two violins by the Belgian composer Charles de Beriot: 3 Duos Concertantes, Op. 57 and the world première recording of Airs Espagnols, Op.113.

Session took place from June 22 to 24, at the St. John Chrysostom Church, Newmarket, Canada.
