Deneve's Recording of Roussel Awarded Diapason D'Or November 27, 2007
"At a glittering ceremony in Paris's Maison de Radio France, the RSNO's French-born music director, Stéphane Denève, will pick up a prestigious Diapason d'Or, the French equivalent of the UK's highly regarded Gramophone Awards. The French award is a well-earned endorsement of what has come to be known here as the "Denève effect". Anyone following the RSNO's recent recording activity will be familiar with the first in a series of four projected recordings on the Naxos label released earlier this year celebrating the fascinating, but largely neglected, orchestral music of Albert Roussel".
