Wilson’s 13 September 26, 2008
American Glen Wilson recorded a programme of harpsichord music by Jan Pieterszoon Sweelinck during May for Naxos. Performing at Kloster Bronnbach in Wertheim, Germany, on his own harpsichord (a copy by Hans van Schevikhoven after a 1628 Ruckers), Wilson set down 13 works in total, including Variations on “Est-ce Mars”, Toccata in D minor, Fantasia cromatica, and Variations on “Fortune my Foe”. Wilson’s most recent recording for Naxos, “Harpsichord Works from the Tabulaturbuch” [8.570335] was released in September last year.
