FEDETOV RECORDS BRUCH'S FAMOUS VIOLIN CONCERTO NO.1

Following his critically acclaimed recording of Bruch's 'Scottish Fantasy' and 'Serenade' (8.557395), the Russian violinist Maxim Fedotov (a 'People's Artist of Russia') recorded the composer's 'Violin Concerto No.1', 'Romance Op.42' and the 'Konzertstuck in F# minor' between 28th November and 3rd December 2004.

He was accompanied once again by the Russian Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Dmitry Yablonsky.

The recording was produced by Lubov Doronina at the Russian State TV & Radio Company Kultura in Moscow.

KABALEVSKY'S STARTLING WORKS FOR PIANO & ORCHESTRA IN RUSSIA

Between the 24th and 28th December 2004, the pianist In Ju Bang recorded the Russian composer Dmitri Kabalevsky's substantial and highly original Piano Concertos (Nos.1-3) together with his luminous 'Rhapsody for Piano and Orchestra on the theme of Song "School years", Op. 75. For inspiration, Kabalevsky harked back to the great romantic concertos of Rachmaninov and Tchaikovsky.

Dmitry Yablonsky once again was at the helm of the Russian philharmonic.

The recording was produced by Lubov Doronina at the The State Radio House in Moscow.

GRUBERT RECORDS H.W. ERNST WORKS FOR VIOLIN & ORCHESTRA

Having been the soloist in the highly acclaimed recording of Miaskovsky and Vainberg's Violin Concertos (8.557194), the Latvian violinist, Ilya Grubert recently recorded works by the Moravian violinist and composer - Heinrich Wilhelm Ernst. These included the Concerto Pathetique in F sharp minor, Concertino in D major, Fantasy on airs from G.Rossini's Othello, Elegy and Rondo Papageno.

At the helm once again were the Russian Philharmonic Orchestra and Dmitri Yablonsky.

The recording took place from the 14th to 22nd December 2004. It was produced by Lubov Doronina and took place at the Russian State TV & Radio Company Kultura in Moscow.
