Music for May
Prepare your music wishlists, for Naxos has some classical treats coming in May. A perennial piano favourite, the Grieg Piano Concerto will be making an appearance on CD, DVD-A, and SACD. Film music buffs will be delighted to find Shostakovich's original film score for Hamlet on CD and SACD. Fans who have been following Havergal Brian's symphonies on Marco Polo soon may obtain his Symphony No. 1 at the Naxos price, with the reissue of the work on the Naxos label. Other highlights for May include tenor arias, guitar works, and Wagner overtures.
