ORCHESTRE DE PARIS A descendent of the famed Paris Conservatoire Orchestra, the Orchestre
de Paris has been headed by a remarkable list of music directors, including
Munch, Karajan, Solti and Barenboim. Since 1989 their Chief Conductor has been
Semyon Bychkov with whom they have made a number of recordings, and have
undertaken tours to North America and the Far East. In 1991 they established a
relationship with Le Chatelet in Paris to present concerts and opera, including
Manoury's 60th Parallel (Naxos 8.554249-50).
