QUEENSLAND ORCHESTRA The highly regarded Queensland Symphony and Philharmonic Orchestras have joined forces to form The Queensland Orchestra, heralding a new era of music brilliance. The Queensland Orchestra will showcase the orchestral music talent of Queensland and will play a key role in enriching the nation's cultural identity.
Over the years, both orchestras have travelled the length and breadth of this state, contributing immeasurably to the cultural richness of Queensland. These orchestras have also provided arts workers and our younger musicians with inspiration, employment and the opportunity to excel - today's international touring circuit features many Queenslanders who launched their careers with either the Symphony or the Philharmonic.
