UPPSALA CHAMBER ORCHESTRA

The Uppsala orchestra was founded in 1968 and at first was a partnership between professional and outstanding amateurs. In 1988 it was placed on a more firm footing, and in 1993 was enlarged so that it can now call upon an orchestra of over forty players. Korsten became the first Principal Conductor, and he has done much to shape its present success. This is the second disc the orchestra has recorded for Naxos.
