Conductors, soloists and choral groups with which the orchestra has collaborated include Plácido Domingo, Narciso Yepes, Victoria de los Ángeles, Montserrat Caballé, Carlos Álvarez, Yehudi Menuhin, Christian Zacharias, Krzysztof Penderecki, Christopher Hogwood, David Atherton, Fabio Biondi, Rinaldo Alessandrini, Elisabeth Leonskaja, Joaquín Achúcarro, Frans Brüggen, Orfeón Donostiarra, Orfeó Català, Cor de Cambra del Palau de la Música Catalana, the British Choral Academy, and the King’s Consort.

Recordings for Harmonia Mundi include works by Manuel de Falla, Bizet, Stravinsky, Joaquín Rodrigo, Tomás Marco, Kurt Weill, Alberto Ginastera and Nino Rota, among others. Awards include the Medal of Honour of the Granada Royal Academy of Fine Arts, the Andalusia Cultural Council Manuel de Falla Prize and the Premio Andalucía de la Música of the Andalusian Association of Record Companies. The orchestra has the support of the Granada Consortium for Music, formed by the Granada Municipal Government, the Andalusia Council, and the Granada and CajaGranada Assembly, with the active patronage of CajaGranada and, in the current season, of Grupo Cervezas Alhambra.
