ATOS TRIO

Thomas Hoppe, piano
Annette von Hehn, violin
Stefan Heinemeyer, cello

Founded in 2003 by violinist Annette von Hehn, cellist Stefan Heinemeyer and pianist Thomas Hoppe, the prize-winning ATOS Trio strives to convey the same spirit as in string quartet playing. The ATOS Trio was awarded the Kalichstein-Laredo-Robinson Award in 2007 and the first and grand prize at the 5th Melbourne International Chamber Music Competition. The trio was also first prize-winner at the Schubert International Competition and has appeared at many major venues in the United States and Europe. The ATOS Trio enjoys collaboration with BBC Radio 3 as New Generation Artists, and they have made numerous studio recordings and performed at major music festivals throughout Great Britain, as well as at the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival, Rheingau Music Festival, Festspiele Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Ludwigsburger Schlossfestspiele, City of London Festival, Budapest Spring, and Enescu Festival in Bucharest. The ATOS trio has recorded for ARS Musici, Azica and CPO featuring works by Beethoven, Brahms, Schubert, Kirchner, Schumann, Suk and Mendelssohn.
