AH YOUNG HONG

The soprano Ah Young Hong makes her Opera Lafayette début with this recording. She has performed extensively in oratorio, recital, orchestral and chamber works with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, Britten-Pears Baroque Orchestra, Concert Artists of Baltimore, Magnolia Baroque Festival, the Handel Choir of Baltimore, and Harmonious Blacksmith at the Boston Early Music Festival, among others.

Praised by The Baltimore Sun for her “silken tone, limpid phrasing, and confident technique”, she has performed in operas of Handel, Monteverdi, and Mozart with the Snape Proms (England), Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre, and Opera Vivente. She teaches voice at Peabody Conservatory of Music and Towson University.
