ALESSANDRA MARIANELLI

The soprano Alessandra Marianelli was born in 1986 and began her vocal studies in 2000 with Maria Billeri and Pieralba Soroga, studying also at the Mascagni Conservatory in Livorno. In 2001 she won second prize at the international Cascinalirica Competition and in 2004 second prize at the Spiros Argiris Competition. Her operatic début was in 2002 as Barbarina in Mozart’s Le nozze di Figaro at the Verdi Theatre in Pisa, Politeama Pratese and Teatro dei Rinnovati in Siena. She has continued with appearances in opera and the concert hall in Lucca, Livorno, Florence, Empoli, Bologna, Genoa, Siena and other cities of Tuscany, in Rome and in Bilbao, with a repertoire ranging from Monteverdi to Mozart, Verdi and Puccini. She has appeared in Verdi’s Falstaff at La Monnaie in Brussels, Pisa, Livorno, Lucca, Ravenna and the Turin Teatro Regio, in Rigoletto in Lima, and in Il ballo in maschera at the Madrid Teatro Real.
